Upper Chapel Sheffield City Centre Wedding Olivia & Lewis
Updated: Apr 8
Olivia and Lewis’ wedding was in a stylish setting on a clear city centre day (well clear for the most part… the raining British weather always tries to creep in!). Starting at the bride’s home in Netherthorpe, Olivia did her hair and make-up in the company of her bridesmaids. During this time I ventured around their house taking photos of all the fine details that people often overlook: flowers, everyone’s shoes and even their congratulation cards. The brides’ excitement and style shown in a hippie van decorated with ribbons and flowers, travelling to their contemporary venue, Sheffield’s Upper Chapel (S1 2JD). Straight after the wedding ceremony, I photographed a timeless series of photos at St. Paul’s Tower and the modern Winter Gardens. I have had the best part of five years as a Sheffield wedding photographer, but I can say for sure I have never had the pleasure of taking a photo of a savoury pie wedding cake! Their wedding day concluded with evening food in good company at Walkley Community Centre, Sheffield. (S6 3TG) Their alternative spirit shone in the creative decoration, Sheffield icon Henderson’s Relish. Coupled with the groom looking his best in an orange floral decoration and tie. At the reception, each guest was welcomed with a free miniature bottle of the condiment, complementing the wedding’s theme. Congratulations Olivia and Lewis!
